The Hoblyns, who resided for many generations at their seat of Nanswhyden, where Robert Hoblyn Esq. M.P. accumulated a magnificent library, whichwastaken to Bath and sold by auction by his successor in the property, the Rev. Robert Hoblyn M.A., J.P., the sale lasting six weeks.
The mansion burnt to the ground in 1803, and that part of the estate sold. Their present representative, William Paget Hoblyn, M.A., J.P., builtaresidence called "The Fir Hill" in the adjoining parish of Little Colan, where he chiefly resides with his family.Family/Spouse: Judith BURGESS.
