    Memorial tablet in north aisle of church at Marbury,
    In memory of Joseph Reddrop, late of Borham near Warminster, Wilts, who died on 2nd October 1845 in the 81st year of his age, and was buried at Marbury.
    This tablet has been erected by one of his nephews in testimony of his grateful affection and respect.

    Will of Joseph Reddrop of Warminster (Transcript)
    Proved at London 14th January 1846 before the judge by the oath of Joseph Rowe the younger the nephew of the said executor to whom (?) was granted having been first sworn by (??).
    This is the last will and testament of Joseph Reddrop of Boreham in the parish of Warminster in the county of Wilts , gentleman, which evoking all former wills by me made and do make and declare as follows I direct all my just debts to be fully paid and satisfied and I give and bequeath unto Ann Humpstone daughter of my late niece Elizabeth Humpstone of Stow Martin the sum if one hundred pounds. I give to my niece Mary the wife of John Lewis of or near Ellesmere Salop three hundred pounds for her sole use and benefit during her life and on her decease then I give and bequeath the same to and among her children equally. I give to each and every one of the eight children of my late niece Beatrice Dod the sum of one hundred pounds. I give the sum of five hundred pounds to and among the children of my late nephew Richard Reddrop equally living at my death. I give Rebecca Hassell the wife of Samuel Hassell of Farmer Salop the sum of four hundred pounds, and in case of her death in my lifetime I give the same equally among all her children living at my decease. I give to the two sons of my late nephew Thomas Reddrop son of my late brother John the sum of one hundred pounds each. I give to each and every of the children of my late niece Margaret France of Black Park the sum of one hundred pounds. I give to my niece Frances Bradbury, wife of John Bradbury of Whitchurch Salop the sum of five hundred pounds and in case of her death in my lifetime then I give the same equally among her children living at my decease. I give to my niece Ann Bickley, widow of the late James Bickley of Liverpool the sum of five hundred pounds and in case of her death in my lifetime then I give the same equally among her children living at my decease. I give to my niece Elizabeth Lee, wife of Richard Lee the sum of five hundred pounds and in the case of her death in my lifetime I give the same equally between her children living at my decease. I give my niece Mary Caldroll, wife of Samuel Caldroll of Liverpool the sum of five hundred pounds and in case of her death in my lifetime I give the same equally all her children living at my decease. I give to my niece Clementina Blantern wife of William Blantern of Manchester five hundred pounds and in case of her death in my lifetime then I give the same equally between her children living at my decease. I give to my niece Maria Wilson wife of Joseph Wilson of Nottingham five hundred pounds and in the case of her death in my lifetime I give the same equally between her children living at my decease. I give to my nephew William Reddrop son of my late brother John Reddrop of Norbury three hundred pounds. I give to Ann and Joseph children of my late brother William Reddrop three hundred pounds each . I give unto Isaac Wilson and Joseph Wilson sons of my late niece Elizabeth Wilson who was the wife of Isaac Wilson of Nottingham, one hundred and fifty pounds each and in case such children be under age then I will and direct that their father's receipt shall be sufficient discharge to my executors. I give to my niece Emma Reddrop daughter of my late brother Thomas Reddrop of Hinton Fields Salop, eight hundred pounds, I give to my nephew James Reddrop son of my late brother Thomas four hundred pounds. I give to my nephew William Reddrop another son of my said late brother Thomas six hundred pounds. I give to my nephew Joseph Reddrop another son of my late brother Thomas two hundred pounds if proved to be living within twelve months after my decease. I give to my nephew Richard Reddrop another son of my late brother Thomas six hundred pounds. I give to my nephew William Reddrop, son of my late brother Charles Reddrop of Bickley four hundred pounds. I give to my friend John Rowden of Herstesbury Wilts, gentleman, one hundred pounds, I give and bequeath all and every children of my nephew Thomas Reddrop of Bishopstrow Wilts, gentleman, son of my said late brother Thomas, one hundred pounds each. I give and bequeath unto my servant Mary Ann Potter fifteen pounds and to my servant Sarah Holloway five pounds with mourning to each. And I will and desire that all the before mentioned legacies shall be paid and discharged within six months next after my decease. I give unto my said nephew Thomas Reddrop of Bishopstrow, gentleman and to my said nephew William Reddrop and to the said John Roden all and every my moneys and securities for money, goods, chattels and effects whatsoever upon trust that they do and shall convert the same into ready money and after payment of my debts, funeral and testamentary expenses and all and every, the legacies and bequests hereinbefore made and given to stand and be possessed thereof for and for the only use and benefit of my said nephew Thomas son of my said brother Thomas absolutely to whom I give and bequeath the same and I so appoint him my Residuary legatee, and I also give and bequeath to him my leasehold estate at Boreham, held under Sir France Dugdale Astley Baronet, which I now occupy with the appurtances for all my estate term and interest therein. But in case of his death in my lifetime then I give the said leasehold dwelling, house and premises and also the sum of five hundred pounds, to his widow if living at my decease and subject thereto I give my residuary estate and property and also the said leasehold estate unto and equally among hid children absolutely. And I do
    appoint my nephew Thomas Reddrop of Bishopstrow , my nephew William Reddrop and said John Rowden to be executors of this my will, and I do expressly declare that my said nephew William Reddrop and the said John Rowden shall be paid and satisfied out of my trusted estate, all costs and expenses which they or either of them may be put unto in or about the execution of the trusts of this my will. And I declare that their receipts shall be sufficient discharges for all monies payable on estate of the trusts of this my will and that neither of my said executors shall be answerable for any loss, damage or default that may arise in the execution of the trusts of this my will except through hie or their own willful default. Nor shall one of them be answerable for the acts receipts or defaults of the others of them and each of them for his own acts and defaults only in witness in whereof I have hereunto set my hand and my seal this thirteenth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand hundred and forty four.
