Notes:

Uncle Ollie, as we called him, was unable to hear or speak. He used to visit us when I was a child in our home in New Lambton, Newcastle. He was an avid stamp collector. I remember one time he came to visit and mum had cooked him some eggs, he went to put some pepper and salt on them and the top came off the pepper, he didn't complain merely set about scrapping off the excess pepper. It made me realise that you you don't need to make a big fuss, just get on with what you are doing. Mum cooked him some more eggs.
