    Francis John Hext married Katherine, daughter of William Mounsteven of Lancarfe, and settled in Bodmin, of which borough he was several times Mayor.His son of the same name, who was also of Bodmin, Town Clerk of that borough in 1769, and several times Mayor, married Margaret, sister and soleheir of Elias Lang of Plymouth and Tredethy, and daughter of Elias Lang and Margaret his wife, daughter of William May of Bodmin by Margaret,daughter and co-heir of William Lugger of Tredethy.
