Notes - Prudence's grandfather Nathaniel Harefoot's will of 1748 leaves to:
Grandson John Ham my estate in Launcells called Buttsbeer, except the cow meadows, after the death of my wife.
*Granddaughter Prudence Ham the fields called Butsbeer Parks and the two meadows part of Buttsbeer, as above after the death of my wife.
Daughter Mary Short ten pounds.
Grandson James Short ten pounds.
Son in law John Short five pounds.
Brother John Harefoot ten shillings and ten shillings apiece to his two children.
Brother Roger Harefoot ten shillings and ten shillings apiece to his two children.
Sister Mary Lashbrook twenty shillings and ten shillings to her daughter.
Sister Sara Facey ten shillings.
All the rest to my loving wife Catherine Harefoot, sole executrix.
Prudence's grandmother Catherine Harefoot's will of 18 August 1752:
Granddaughter Prudence Ham my hanging press and ten pounds when she reaches one and twenty years. Also all my wearing apparel both woollen andlinenand also my bed sheets and all other linen belonging to my house and also my gold ring.
All other goods and chattels in trust until they reach the age of one and twenty for my grandson John Ham and granddaughter Prudence Ham tobeequally divided between them.
Prudence is mentioned in her aunt's will, Margaret, of 1763, one shilling.
Her burial date (1804) may be confused with her daughter's burial date (1809). It may be vice versa.
