  1851 Census Bradworthy, Cottage on Kimworthy: Joseph, head, 46, farm labourer, born Bradworthy Jane, wife, 41, born Bradworthy Grace, daughter, 10, scholar, born Bradworthy Norah Jane, daughter, 8, scholar, born Bradworthy James, son, 5, born Bradworthy William, son, 2, born Bradworthy Mary, daughter, 2 months, born Bradworthy Joseph and Jane farmed on land owned by Jane's father John Piper. The farm was called "Kimworthy" and it was only half a mile from anotherfarmleased by John Piper, "South Newland", where John and his wife Grace lived. They first lived in Clarendon St., Chilwell with their daughter Elizabeth and her husband John Price, an ex-Pentonvillian. They moved to SharpSt.and lived there until their deaths. Their story in an article in "Pivot Tree". Geelong Advertiser, 5th December 1878: Francis - On the 4th December, at his residence, Sharpe-street, Chilwell, Mr. Joseph Francis, aged 77 years. The funeral will move this day (Thursday), at 3 o'clock p.m., for the Eastern Cemetery. Friends are respectfully invited.
