Deaths - PIPER - On the 12th October, at her residence, Fyans Street, Chilwell, in her 70th year, Elizabeth, the beloved wife of James Piper.
The funeral will leave on Tuesday, the 14th inst., at a quarter to three o'clock, for the Highton Cemetery.

The mortal remains of the late Mrs Elizabeth Piper, who died at her husband's residence, Chilwell, on Sunday last, in her 70th year, were conveyedtotheir last resting place, in the Highton Cemetery, yesterday.
The funeral cortege comprised 75 vehicles and a number of horsemen. The Rev. J. G. Sproule conducted a special service at the grave, taking asthebasis of his remarks the 15th chapter of the 1st Epistle to the Corinthians, and alluding to the deceased as a good friend, neighbour, mother,andwife.
Mr and Mrs Piper settled at the Barrabool Hills 43 years ago, and better testimony as to the high esteem in which they are held there could notbeshown than the funeral cortege witnessed yesterday.
The following were the pall-bearers: - Messrs Leigh, J. Heard, J. Mann, W. Anderson, C. Anderson, and T. Bassett. The funeral arrangementswereconducted by Messrs W. B. King and Sons.
