    • Nathaniel was the Health Commissioner in Brisbane at the time of his father's will in 1906.
      Article in Medical Journal of Australia, Vol. 161, 4 July 1994 by M. John Thearle, outlines his achievements.
      He left Australia in 1891 and went to Guy's Hospital Medical School. He graduated a member of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1896.
      He was appointed Queensland's first Health Commissioner and commenced his position on January 1, 1901.
      He moved to Victoria in 1909 and took up the position of Head of the department of Public Health.
      He then returned to England, served as a medical officer in the First World War. He eventually took up private medicine in London until his death.
