    • Reuben was a councillor on the Barrabool Shire Council from 1887-1914 and President of the Shire in 1893 and 1896-1897 and 1907.

      He was a councillor in 1901 with the Shire of Barrabool (signature in the book presented to Duke of Cornwall in 1901).

      Reuben Philip, took over "Newlands" after his father died in 1911. He became a councillor in 1887 and served until 1914; he died in 1935.
