In memory of Mary Reddrop of Norbury who departed this life April 15th 1809 aged 48 years. Also John Reddrop husband of the above Mary Reddrop who departed this life September 9th 1811 aged 54 years.
Will of John Reddrop of Norbury
The sixth day of April 1812
William Reddrop and Thomas Reddrop the executors in this will named, were sworn in common form, and they further made oath, that the personal estate and effects of the testator, within the diocese of Chester were under the value of three hundred pounds

The testator died the nineteenth day of September 1811

In the name of God amen. I John Reddrop of Norbury in the county of Chester, being of perfect mind and memory do make ordain this my last will and testament. First I recommend my soul to God, who gave it, and my body to be buried in a decent Christian burial at the discretion of my executors whom I shall hereafter appoint. First I will that all my debts and funeral expenses are paid and discharged, then I give to Margaret France , my daughter one shilling, then I give to Thomas Reddrop, Frances Reddrop, Ann Reddrop, Elizabeth Reddrop, William Reddrop and Mary Reddrop my sons and daughters all the property I die possessed of, the profits of the Barhill Lease and everything I owned in this world to be equally divided amongst them, share and share alike, until they have received and had the same sum I gave my daughter Margaret France. Then my daughter Margaret France to come in share with them the profits arising from the Barhill Lease so long as it shall continue. I also give my children Thomas Reddrop, Frances Reddrop, Ann Reddrop, Elizabeth Reddrop, William Reddrop and Mary Reddrop the profits arising from the farm I occupy, share and share alike and to live at the house until they marry and no longer, nor to have any profit arising from the said farm I occupy after they marry but to have their equal share of money paid them at the time they marry that comes to their share out of the ready money and stock I die possessed of and to receive their share from the Barhill Lease as it comes due after they marry but to have no authority or benefits at the house or farm occupy after they are paid by my executors their proper share of my property due to them at the time of marriage or when they choose to leave their brothers and sisters to go to any other employment.
I also constitute, make and ordain William Reddrop of Quoisley and Thomas Reddrop of Hinton, my brothers, executors to this my last will and testament hereby revoking and disannulling any will or wills by me at any time made and declaring this to be my last will and testament in witness thereof I here unto set my hand and seal, this first day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ten
