  St Newlyn East: a history of the parish" The Manor of Tresillian is situated in the north-east of the parish, about one mile east of Trerice. In 1694 Samuel Gully acquired the freehold together with the nearby farm of Trevarthian. It was passed to his son Samuel, who married PhillipaPraterin 1738.
