Notes - Supposed to have travelled to Australia as a young man. I have a reference to a Geo Whyte, age 23, travelling on ship Orient to Melbourne from a British port, arriving in May 1886, Is this him?? He does not appear in the 1881 census so he may have come earlier but is back with his parents in the 1901 census.
Photo in front of house taken by Wall Bros of Inkerman Street, St Kilda.
He was involved in doing building work in Euroa, Victoria, Australia. Is it possbile that the photo was taken in Euroa?
