    • Ballarat Star, 12 August 1899:
      Weddings.
The marriage of Miss Maggie Stewart, step-daughter of Mr Thos. Reardon, of Broomfield, to Mr A. Hetherington, a prominent member of the Creswick Football Club, and son of Mr J. Hetherington, also of Broomfield, was celebrated at the Primitive Methodist Church, Broomfield, on the 2nd inst. The bride was given away by her father, and was attired in a tasteful costume of cream broche silk, trimmed with silk lace and chiffon. The bridesmaids were Miss Fenton, who wore a handsome silk dress with lace and pearl trimmings and tucked blouse; Miss Ada Rachinger, prettily attired in a costume of cream lustre, trimmed with lace and ribbon; and Misses Ethel and Elsie Reardon wore becoming costumes of cream cashmere, with lace trimmings. Mr Hetherington was supported by Messrs B. Wishart (best man). M. Hutchinson, P. Russell, and A. Thomas; the officiating clergyman being the Rev. W. Moore, of Creswick. As the happy couple left the church, the organist (Mrs Richardson) played the Wedding March. The breakfast was laid at the residence of the bride's parents, about sixty guests attending. The wedding presents were numerous and handsome.
      *Ada was Walter’s niece.
