  • Notes
    • Benjamin and Elizabeth lived in Alpha Cottage, Noble-street, Chilwell, when their daughter Susanna married at their residence in 1870.

Benjamin died in Canning Street, Town of Hotham (North Melbourne) at age 74 from apoplexy. The informant was his son Benjamin Gardner Warr. Hehadbeen in Victoria for 30 years. He is buried in the Melbourne General Cemtery.

      Geelong Advertiser, 14th July, 1884:
Warr - On the 8th July, at his residence, in his 74th year, Benjamin Warr, of Wagga Wagga, late of Geelong, and beloved father of B.G.Warr, ofthistown.

[This contradicts Benjamin's death certificate which states that he died in Melbourne. Benjamin Gardner, his son, was the informant in bothcases.Perhaps Benjamin was in Melbourne, visiting from Wagga, when he died.]
