Witnesses were John and Richard Sharsell. Probate was granted 25 November 1774. Monumental inscription in Kilkhampton [from Cornwall FHS]: Here lies the body of John Barrett, the elder, who was buried November 5th 177- Age 84 years. Also of Susanna, his wife, who was buried April 5th 1771. Age 75 years
