  Sophia was born at Smeaton in 1862, and was the eldest of David and Bridgett's children to be enrolled at the Undera state school when it opened on 2 October 1876. Just one year after starting school, Sophia died on 6 October 1877. Sophia is buried in the Roman Catholic section of the Mooroopna Cemetery, and is mentioned on the headstone of David and Bridget Baker in the same Section. (Compiled by Hugh Molyneux)
