Notes - There is no record of her birth in the Parish Registers of Brechin In the 1841 Census Christina was about 8 years old At the 1851 Census, Christina, aged 18, has left home and is 'living-in' as a servant with the Mathers (a Procurator working in Forfar) in Penmure Street. By the 1861 Census she had returned to the family home, and was working as a Linen Weaver. Can find no record of her in th 1871 Census. At the 1881 Census, aged 47, she was acting as housekeeper for her brother Alexander at 23 Southesk Street, Brechin. In 1891, aged 57, she was still with Alexander as his housekeeper. By the 1901 Census, aged 67, she was acting as housekeeper for her brother William at the Mill of Thornton Farmhouse. Christina never married. She died in 1923, aged 89, at Marykirk, where she was, apparently, still a housekeeper. Her death was notified by her nephew, Alex (Alexander) M Scott, son of her brother William.
