    • Between 1814 and 1818, James was gardener to Thomas Noel, Viscount Wentworth in Kirkby Mallory Leicestershire.
      Went to Little Easton sometime before 1829 to work as Head Gardener to Viscount Maynard at Easton Lodge.
      After his death he was succeeded at Easton Lodge by his son Henry.

      1814 Baptism record for son Frederick gives father's occupation as "Gardener to Ld. Visc. Wentworth".
      1818 Baptism record for Edward Luke and Mary Ann gives father's occupation as "Gardener to Lady Noel".
      Lady Noel is believed to have been the widow of Visc. Wentworth.
      At the 1861 census Ann Kenny's occupation was "Gardener's Widow".
      Ann Kenny's Death Cert. gives her occupation as "Widow of James William Kenny, Gardener".
