They first lived in Clarendon St., Chilwell with their daughter Elizabeth and her husband John Price, an ex-Pentonvillian. They moved to SharpSt.and lived there until their deaths. Their story in an article in "Pivot Tree". Geelong Advertiser, 5th December 1878: Francis - On the 4th December, at his residence, Sharpe-street, Chilwell, Mr. Joseph Francis, aged 77 years. Her residence at the time of marriage was St Mabyn. Perhaps Frances had moved there because of a job-servant or something similar. According to the book "The Hamley, Hambly, Hamlyn Group of Families" by Douglas Hamley, Nathaniel Ham (Frances' father) and John Hamley(Peter'sfather) were close friends. NOR was James recorded anywhere in the 1871 Census. so what happened ? a) Did James get placed elsewhere with family, workhouse etc after Barbara's marriage to Brodrick ?
